Cailey Anderson, MA
Teen ADHD Coach

Pronouns: She/they

Bio:

Hi, I’m Cailey! I am currently traveling around the U.S. in a converted van with my partner. I am from the Bay area (California) but have also recently lived in Humboldt county and Portland Oregon. I got my bachelor’s degree in psychology at Cal Poly Humboldt, and my masters of applied behavioral analysis and special education online at Arizona State University.

I have worked with neurodivergent people in a mental healthcare capacity for the past 8 years and have over 1,500 hours of supervised training in the field. I absolutely love working with this demographic - supporting ADHD and autistic people is truly my biggest passion! I am late diagnosed ADHD myself, which allows me to understand the struggles of my clients on a personal level. I am always listening to the community, keeping up on new research and educating people both in my professional and personal life on the intricacies of ADHD.

More about me:

  • I love traveling
  • I have recently been to Spain, Portugal, Hungary and all over the west coast!
  • Some of my favorite hobbies are cooking, ceramics, thrift shopping and walking in nature
  • I have a hypermobility disorder that has limited my ability to do most strenuous physical activities. This experience allows me to understand and support people with chronic illnesses from a place of personal experience.
  • Some of my own ADHD struggles include time blindness, procrastination, and executive dysfunction. I also have dyscalculia, but didn’t know until adulthood
  • I have been vegan for 6 years
  • I love animals, especially rabbits and cats

My coaching style:

My coaching style is based on support and understanding. I am here to ask questions to better understand your needs, share strategies, encourage you and lift you up. I will focus on your strengths while we work together to provide supports for your weaknesses. I take a client lead approach because I believe that in order for something to work it has to be important and exciting for you. Lastly, my work will always be, at it’s core, neurodiversity affirming.
